Paul Macerato is a famous Ophthalmologist who was raised in Pennsylvania. He finished his undergraduate education from the finest college in the region. He graduated summa cum laude with membership in Phi Beta Kappa, and later, completed his graduation in B.S. and M.D. degrees in six years. In his junior year of medical school he was also awarded membership in Alpha Omega Alpha. After serving an internal medicine internship, he finished his ophthalmology residency. Paul Macerato believes in fitness, and as a fit person he is an avid runner, swimmer, and skier. He has performed more than 5,000 cataract surgeries. He was also an FDA investigator for the Crystalens which was approved for use in the US. He always advices his patients to be careful when it comes to care of eyes. He uses several specialty lenses such as Toric, Multifocal, etc. to enhance near and distance vision of his patients. In addition, he also performs a number of other surgeries that include Entropian, Blepharoplasty, and Pterygium. He has written various books on Ophthalmology which were widely appreciated all around the world. These books are considered as one of the major references on this topic.
